If you're looking for an easy way to notify family members that you've arrived at your destination, just use this simple life hack. What I do to let my parents know I've arrived at school or another place is have my lights in my work room go on and off quickly. How can you do this? You just need an IFTTT (If This Then That) account, an Automatic plug ($99), and a WeMo switch (~$50). Setup all of these devices. Setup the WeMo in a room that is central to your house, but not too important (because you don't want to toggle the lights in an important room).
